OwlEye, explained
Small team. Fewer unanswered questions.
OwlEye helps small product teams turn recorded clicks, form submissions, and funnel drop-off into their next product question.
OwlEye is an independent analytics product built by Shrinath Prabhu. It is for founders, developers, and small product teams who want to know whether visitors click the important button, reach the form, and complete the signup.
The idea
You ship a landing page. People arrive, but signups do not follow. A traffic total tells you something happened. It does not tell you which measured step lost them.
Install page analytics and the optional rules entrypoint once. With stable selectors already on your site, you can configure supported clicks, form submissions, and section-visibility events from the dashboard. New page loads pick up rule changes. Adding a missing selector still needs a site edit.
Connect the recorded actions in an ordered funnel, choose a conversion window, and inspect where the measured cohort drops off. Referrers and campaigns add context for the next investigation. These are observations to work from, not proof of why someone left.
When AI is available on your paid plan and enabled for the app, you can ask supported analytics questions and inspect the data behind the answer. An answer should help you check a hypothesis, not turn a guess into a fact.
Useful numbers, clear boundaries
The visitor SDK writes no cookies, localStorage, or sessionStorage. URL queries and fragments stay out unless explicitly enabled. Visitor estimates use site-scoped pseudonyms; that does not make every installation anonymous or exempt from consent requirements.
OwlEye runs the hosted service. The Free plan gives you room to start collecting; paid plans add capacity, history, and team access. You can spend your time checking the flow instead of operating the analytics database.
The copy can have a little personality. The numbers cannot. Empty results stay empty, failures stay visible, and shared dashboards show only statistics their owners choose to publish.
