Terms of Use

Last updated

OwlEye is operated by Shrinath Prabhu, operating as OwlEye, based in Mumbai, India. Contact support@owleye.dev about these terms.

These terms cover the hosted service at owleye.dev and app.owleye.dev. The separately published open-source code is governed by its MIT license and applicable third-party licenses. These service terms do not replace those software licenses.

SDK license

The @owleye/analytics SDK is available under the MIT license. You can use it in personal, commercial, and closed-source projects, and modify, distribute, sublicense, or sell copies.

Include the copyright notice and permission notice in copies or substantial portions of the SDK. Retaining the included LICENSE file when distributing it is a straightforward way to preserve those notices. The license does not require an OwlEye badge on your website or require you to publish your application’s source code.

The SDK is provided as-is, with the warranty disclaimer and liability terms in the MIT license. Third-party dependencies and assets retain their own licenses. Using the hosted OwlEye API is subject to these service terms and the selected plan; those conditions do not change the SDK’s MIT permissions.

Your account

Use accurate account information, protect access to your email and authentication methods, and grant team access only to people you authorize. You must have authority to act for any organization whose account you manage. Report suspected unauthorized access promptly.

Your websites and data

Only collect analytics from websites and apps you own or have permission to measure. You are responsible for the collection choices, notices, and permissions required for your use. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, private messages, or sensitive personal information in events, properties, URLs, or AI prompts. Do not use the service for unlawful surveillance, spam, attacks, or attempts to bypass access controls or service limits.

You keep your rights to the data you provide. You permit OwlEye to process it as needed to operate the service, provide the features you request, maintain security, and respond to support requests. See the Privacy Policy for data handling and providers.

Plans, payments, and cancellation

Paid features, allowances, billing intervals, and prices are shown in the Console and at checkout. The Payment and Refund Rules explain billing and refund requests. Dodo Payments handles checkout and payment processing under its applicable terms.

Availability and analytics limitations

Analytics can be incomplete or approximate because of browser restrictions, collection settings, network failures, and the way visitor estimates are calculated. AI answers can be wrong; review supporting data before relying on them. OwlEye is not a system of record for financial or other critical decisions. Features may change or be withdrawn in accordance with these terms, and no uninterrupted service or particular business result is promised.

Data is retained according to the applicable plan and deletion behavior described in the Privacy Policy. Export information you need before it expires or before deleting an app or account.

Ending access and changes

You can stop using OwlEye and request account deletion after resolving app and organization ownership. Cancel any paid subscription through billing controls as well. Access may be restricted when necessary to address abuse, security threats, non-payment, or legal obligations.

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date above identifies this version. Nothing here excludes rights or obligations that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
